Weekend Round-up

Twice this week, I’ve run into Mr. Rollback in Wal-Mart. The first time I was with my kids and I said out loud without even thinking “Hey kids! Say hi to Mr. Rollback!” He was very pleasant and gave us a big hello.

In our household, we still have two more weeks of summer. Preschool doesn’t start until the middle of September, causing summer to be four months long. I really need everyone to be back on a schedule, like yesterday. Momma’s tired.

In planning for my yard sale this weekend, I was amazed that people will contact me based on my craigslist ad to try and come to my house the night before to get a preview and also ask to come by on Sunday to get whatever doesn’t sell. Really? Really.

Speaking of yard sale, OBB had his first ever lemonade stand today. Here is a picture of his set up.

As you can see from the sign, the lemonade was "technically" free, but he was accepting donations. Much to his delight, OBB used his charm to go through three pitchers of lemonade, receiving $1 a cup from most of his customers. When the lemonade ran out, I told him it was time to close up shop, but then a lady gave him a dollar just to be nice (without receiving any lemonade) and this encouraged him to sit there longer in the hopes that people would continue just flinging money at him based on his good looks. Unbelievable.
