Completion

The deck is finished! This year's renovation project made my husband the hottest (and smelliest) I have ever seen him. Beginning in June, he worked every weekend and most weeknights through July and some of August to complete this project, in 100 degrees + temperatures. It was so hot that OBB didn't want to be out there with him at times and preferred to be inside with Baby Girl, watching a movie.

But let's get to the important part - the pictures! First, I'll show you some pictures of the new deck and then some before and afters...



































Before and Afters

So when you look at this, you might be thinking...but there's not that much of a difference! But that, my friend, is the point. I liked my deck exactly the way it was and I wanted it to look pretty much the same - just improved and not rotting. So my hubby worked hard to re-create exactly what we had before with all new weather-resistant materials.


































































































The best part of the new deck? We saved about 50% by my husband doing it himself and we paid cash for it. So it's done and it's paid for. Now it's time to start planning our next project!
