Thanksgiving in Maine

Well we made it back from the north. And let me just say that the day we left, the high was 28. That's right. That was the HIGH.

It was a good trip, but the rigors of traveling with a toddler away from home for five days can't be overstated. It's just hard.

I would say the low point was OBB coming down with Bronchitis on Thanksgiving Day. Thankfully his aunt is a pediatrician and we got him started on antibiotics right away. The high point would be me having the Twin Lobster Dinner for lunch on Saturday. One lobster for lunch sounds excessive, but two is downright luxurious. And for the very reasonable price of $16.99. Yes, I was the only one at my table eating lobster and yes, the people looked at me funny when I walked out of the restaurant still sporting my lobster bib, but you just can't go to Maine and not have lobster. As a little 3 year old friend of mine says..."It's a rule!"

So here are some pictures from our trip...

Maine is the only place where OBB gets to bathe in a clawfoot tub...

Everyone enjoying the Thanksgiving feast...(the eight other grandchildren are at the kids table in the other room. I'm so glad I don't have to sit at the kids table.)

Of course, EDD maintained her position under the table throughout the meal...

And OBB spent some quality time looking at pictures of himself with two of his aunts...
