Coming home

Daddy finally made it home yesterday. It was getting pretty sad. Every time OBB saw a pick up truck, no matter the size or color, he would automatically start going "oooo! ooo!" thinking it was Daddy's truck.

When Daddy finally walked through the door and picked up OBB, OBB just clung to him and laid his head on his shoulder and stayed that way for a while.

Most nights when Daddy comes home from work it's like walking into a circus. The dog jumps up and down crying, acting like she's been mistreated all day. The baby kicks his legs and makes straining noises until Daddy picks him up. You can't say Daddy doesn't get a first-class welcome.

But I think the sweetest part is just before that, when the dog and OBB patiently wait by the front door for a glimpse of Daddy's truck. This goes on for several minutes, until he arrives...tonight I was able to snap a picture of it...

awww! At my house my almost 2 year old kept asking for Dada the first 3 days and then by Friday he stopped. But Monday morning when Dada was still in bed, Nath climbed up into bed with Dada and snuggled for a few minutes. The other boys were happy to have him home too. MEEE TOOOOO!!

Richard may or may not have snuggled with Arik in West Virginia.
