Shelby very much enjoys her new yard and not having to be on a leash outside. She has met the various neighborhood cats who come around, but really doesn't want much to do with them. In fact, she recently stepped over a cat that was lying on its back in front of our front door in order to get in the house. She's still flighty and nervous and cries more than she barks. And she's still scared to death of thunder. But she's incredibly sweet with the baby. Her reaction to everything he does to her is to lick his face. Whether it's grabbing her fur, using her ears to pull up or sticking his fingers in her eyes, her only response is to lick him. It's kind of like she's teaching us all how we should never answer hurt with hurt, but instead love one another no matter what. Or at least that's what I've decided to take from it.
Bounding out of the forest...it's a bird, it's a plane, it's Shelbydog!

I'm a good dog!
