Oh Happy Day

As parents, WH and I have been patiently waiting for OBB to decide that it was time to stand upright and move forward of his own volition (aka WALK).

For months, he's been walking behind walkers - anything he can push in front of himself and hold onto. But he wouldn't let go.

After reading a parenting book that recommended the idea, we took all the walkers away. I think the book said something like "as long as you have walkers around, your child will never walk on his own".

So this past weekend, Daddy put all the walkers away. And VOILA! Two days later, OBB is walking on his own. Sunday night he took a couple steps, but tonight he was really steady standing on his own and walking.

So at 13 months, he's started walking and our lives will never be the same! Now the real fun starts...
