So I was back, and then I was gone again, and now I'm back again. We moved into our new house and didn't even unpack the computer because it is such a virus-infested mess so I was computerless again while we determined what computer to buy. Thanks to help from an expert (his code name is Big A) we acquired a Dell.
Dell has already been very good to us. I ordered the computer by phone on a Friday night and it was delivered to my house on Tuesday morning - and that was the free shipping option! Given that the last computer we had was a hard drive hand-me-down from my Dad with a monitor that my husband bought at a pawn shop, this is a HUGE step up. The flat panel monitor is a thing to behold and add to that the fact that we made the decision to go from dial-up to high speed cable and I am in computer heaven.
In addition to internet access, we are also getting our phone and TV cable from the cable company. I feel a little bit like I am succumbing to a monopoly - but I guess if I can get out of it at anytime, it's not really like they have me under their thumb.
And yes, I am still enjoying Sesame Street. They have made fun of more TV shows like Survivor, where Telly, Elmo and Rosita play musical chairs on an island, and the Count was listing his favorite TV shows - they included Three's Company, Eight is Enough, 60 Minutes...I got a good chuckle out of that.

HA! Expert?
None of my children have been attached to Sesame Street and I'm not about to have a fourth just so I can justify watching it for the humor!
to be honest, she probably should have said "self-appointed expert"
