Weekend at the Racetrack

This weekend, OBB had a race on Saturday which took up most of our day.  One of OBB's friends brought in a professional race photographer who took this great shot of OBB in his new kart body with the "flames" paint scheme.  He looks so serious on the track!

Things were running a little behind at the track, so when it was the time for his final race, it was after 10:30 p.m. at night. One of the drivers behind OBB was falling asleep in his kart waiting to go on the track. He was so cute.  Here's a video of the race.

OBB pulled out a hard-won win in the feature race, but unfortunately, his new paint job took a beating when one of his fellow racers, who was trying to pass him to get the lead, crashed into him on the second to last lap.

It was a long night (getting home around midnight), but well worth it to bring home a first-place finish!

We were up bright and early the next morning for church on Sunday.

We're looking forward to another race this weekend!
