First, we headed to Amelia on Saturday for OBB's race. He raced against three other boys and after he spun out in the middle of the race, things got really exciting! He had to work hard to catch up with the other karts and win. Here's the video of his race.
On Saturday, we had our good friends the Pohs over for a cookout.
After dinner, we all made smores, which the kids loved.
Then the kids had their first campout in the backyard with Daddy. They went right to sleep!
Monday morning, after breakfast, we headed down the end of our street to our neighbor's backyard where they have a fishing pond.
It's a beautiful place with Weeping Willows and Lily Pads floating in the water.
And it's a great place to learn how to fish because it's fully stocked which makes for exciting fishing for little ones!
We had great success with each of the kids catching several fish (I think OBB caught 6!). We released them all back in the pond. It was a beautiful day to be outdoors and enjoy nature.
