When I finally returned home at 1:30 p.m., I needed a little reminder of the sweeter things in life, and that's where God stepped in to remind me how blessed I am. Here are the things that made me smile this afternoon...
Getting home just in time for OBB to have his bi-monthly encounter with the recycling truck.

The recycling truck driver is so sweet and always waves to OBB.

While outside with the camera, I took in all of the beautiful flowers blooming in my yard right now. I know I talk about them every Spring, but I feel I need to express my gratitude for them since they are such a wonderful reminder of new life and I didn't have a thing to do with putting them there.

As I stood at the kitchen sink, trying to clean up from this morning's cucumber debaucle, this was my view out the window.

They love eating outside and I think they look just like a little old couple, sitting out there, with OBB telling Baby Girl what he thinks about things.

This was followed by me getting them down for naps. Reading a book together (all three of us), and then Baby Girl insisting on holding my hand until she fell asleep. Love that my determined, strong-willed girl can be so tender at times.
My sweet afternoon had redeemed my harried morning and reminded me of the timeless words of Ferris Bueller, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
