10. He roars like a lion. For whatever reason, OBB has become fascinated with roaring like a lion. Several of the picture books he has have lions in them and he has to roar every time he sees them. He'll even bring the book to you, skip all the pages until he finds the page with the lion on it and then roar at you.
9. He's a climber. I know I've said this before but it bears repeating. Yesterday I found him on top of the kitchen table. Give OBB a minute, and he'll show you how fast he can climb.
8. The terrible twos are upon us. Somewhere around 17 months and 2 weeks old, (otherwise known as this week) we turned a corner and everything has been much more dramatic and tear-filled ever since.
7. OBB is officially a MOPPETT. Since his mother has started participating in MOPS at church (that's Mothers of Preschoolers,) OBB is officially a member of the MOPPETTS, which is where the preschoolers go while Mom is busy with her MOPS friends.
6. He's getting very good at taking his clothes off. Twice in one day last week I found OBB wandering around his playroom without his pants on. I guess they had just become too cumbersome and he decided life would be easier without them.
5. Every truck, construction vehicle, motorcycle and delivery van must be duly recognized and pointed out. OBB is very taken with things that go. When we're riding in the car, OBB will point and make a very gutteral "vroom vroom!" sound whenever he sees any of the aforementioned vehicles.
4. He loves animals of every kind. As I have previously stated, our neighbors have some cats that wander and every once in a while they end up in our yard. This delights OBB to no end. The cats are friendly and will let OBB pet them. However, this also upsets EDD immeasurably. She runs around and cries when OBB pays attention to the cats.
3. He loves to dance. Anytime he hears music, he starts bopping up and down and clapping. Recently, they featured a male ballerina on Sesame Street dancing out the alphabet and OBB was mesmerized. He also dances and bobs his head to songs in his car seat. His current favorite is "When you're happy and you know it".
2. He can spot Elmo a mile away. OBB will find Elmo in the grocery store, in the toy store, anywhere - and he'll immediately start yelling "EEEE! EEEE!" until he is acknowledged.
1. OBB is getting very good at brushing his teeth. For a boy who started teething at 3 months old, his teeth are mostly all in. With a mouth full of teeth, including molars, tooth-brushing has become an important part of OBB's day. He has a special Hot Wheels car toothbrush that he uses while Mommy brushes his teeth with another toothbrush. It makes for a busy time in OBB's mouth every morning and night.
