The Great Escape

Something about 90+ degrees and only being a month into summer makes me long for a getaway. Thankfully, it's time for our summer trip to Maine!

















Here's a few of my favorite things...

My mother-in-law's historic house, located near the dam of the Great Works River. Here it is pictured in a postcard from 1910. It's the white one in the center of the picture.





























The fact that Dunkin Donuts is literally within walking distance - and they have a great drive-through!














And Lobster Rolls. If you haven't had one, you haven't lived. Chunks of lobster with a little mayo on a buttered toasted roll...and you can get them almost anywhere. McDonald's, the hospital, a concession stand on the side of the road.
