So after all that - after the interpretive dance and everything - they didn't find the Meckel's in my intestines. Instead, they discovered a bunch of scar tissue wrapped around my intestines from previous surgeries which they spent a couple hours cleaning up.
Oh and my appendix? Apparently he wasn't happy at all so it's great they went ahead and set him free.
My surgeon was great, tacking my surgery onto the end of an already long day for him.
My Mom and WH stepped in and took care of the kids and me. My WH even got OBB registered for kindergarten (the topic of a soon-to-come post) while I was at the hospital.
I'm home now and recovering. Glad that it's all over and I can get busy getting back to my life. And I'm thankful - that I live in a country with top-notch medical care, that my husband has a good job with wonderful insurance, that I have a great family and kind friends, and that I'm still here!
