The Big K

On Thursday, while I was sitting in a surgical waiting room, my WH was managing both kids and handling the enormous task of getting OBB registered for Kindergarten.

How hard can this be?, you ask. Well, it involves getting in line at just the right time so as to prevent a long wait, which would put Baby Girl in a foul mood. It requires bringing the necessary documentation (including birth certificates, social security cards, driver's licenses and even the deed to our house - I'm not kidding). And most importantly, it means having OBB prepared for a 10-15 minute test in which he will be asked to recite his full name, his address, his phone number, his birthday, 10 colors, and point out various body parts (like his hips and temples).

Here's OBB waiting to get into the school library...

Here he is at the Welcome sign. Doesn't he look so big and grown up?

It seems like only yesterday, he was my little cuddly pudgy baby...

And here they both are upon completion of the assigned task, petting a very large Scooby Doo. Finally finished, they were free to hit the local park with Daddy and then off to lunch at Chick-Fil-A. What a fun Dad they have. :-)
