What I'm loving right now...

American Pickers on History Channel - This is a show about two guys who go to old barns and sheds looking for antiques they can buy and then resell. I like it for the antiques and my husband likes it for the old cars and motorcycles. It's turned into a great show to watch together on Monday nights after the kids have gone to bed.

Storage Wars on A&E - have you seen this show? People bid to buy repossessed storage units and then see if they can make money on the contents. It is so interesting to watch how they size up a unit (because they can only look, not touch before bidding), to see what they find and then how they sort and sell what's in there.

My Christmas Amaryllis - My Grandmother sent me an Amaryllis for Christmas. It arrived in a box that contained a green plastic flower pot, a round disc of dehydrogenated soil and a tan bulb that looked like a cross between a potato and garlic. I am so not a gardener, but this one has been pretty foolproof. Plant the bulb, water it from time to time, stick it in front of a window with sunshine and voila! Something beautiful growing inside your house in the dead of winter. Here is it in all its glory...I am keeping it in my red dining room and I just love the red on red.





































The Birth Order Book by Kevin Leman - If you haven't read this book, it is so worth picking up. It will explain why you do what you do, why your spouse does what they do and why your kids do what they do! It is truly life-changing. Can't say enough about it.



















My Color Nook - Got this as a Christmas present from my brother and sister-in-law. It is so great! Besides the ability to read books on it, we use it as a second computer in our house because we have wi-fi. It is so nice to roll over in bed on a snowy morning and check the school closings on the Nook - you don't even have to get out of bed!























And finally, I am always loving these two...here they are this afternoon.
