Little Green Men

This morning, I hosted a playdate for two of my girlfriends and their kids. It is flaming hot outside and we're under a Code Red Air Quality Alert today so we needed to stay inside if possible. Here's what we came up with to keep all those little hands busy...

First, an art project. Each child was given a ziploc bag and invited to pick flower petals, leaves and rocks from outside to make their project.























Then we set about making flower people. Most everyone was trying to make theirs look like Buzz Lightyear albeit with some "natural" modifications.





























































Then, it was time for a snack. We pulled out peanut butter, celery, grapes, raisins, craisins, carrots, and strawberries and made...you guessed it...more Buzz Lightyears.

































The best part about all this playing? I was left with two very tired out children who are ready for a good, long nap.
