OBB now refers to himself as Charlie Brown. Because when your name is Charlie, fall and winter are times of the year that Charlie Brown is everywhere. There’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Christmas and the recently added It’s a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. And there aren’t too many other Charlies out there, save the Charlie from Charlie and Lola, with the lovely British accent, but that hasn’t really caught on in our house. While most people think this is adorable, the maternal instinct alarm in me goes off at the thought of him getting lost in a store somewhere and someone asking his name and all he can say is Charlie Brown. How is that going to get him back to me safely? So for now at least, he’s started using his last name after Charlie Brown. I’m not sure that this is much better, but at least instead of thinking that this child has no idea who he is, now if he gets lost, people will just think his parents are weird.

I used to know a man named Charlie Brown and when he would introduce himself he'd say, "My Name is Charlie Brown...that's my real name...I'm not making it up."
