It only took us two weeks, but we finally made it back to church this Sunday. While this may not seem like a big deal to some, managing to get everyone fed, dressed and out of the house (and staying out of the house for over three hours) was a huge undertaking. Much planning and contingency planning were required. But we pulled it off. When we drove out of the church parking lot after the service and Sunday School today, I felt like I had conquered a small mountain.
For my next feat of grandeur, I will attempt to take two children out of the house by myself on Tuesday. I'll be sure to file a report.

wow, wow, wow, my hat is off to you Susan! two weeks after major surgery and not only did you get out the door, but out the door in dress clothes, make up and your hair done, and the kids looked amazing too! I'm very impressed. I don't even get that done now!! Being a momma of two sweet little ones looks good on you, you look amazing!
I just found you on here on accident- but It's funny, b/c I just gave birth to my 2nd on Sept 22nd!
