First Day of School

OBB and Baby Girl have now both started school. OBB gets on the bus at 8:05 a.m. every morning and then I don't see him again until 3:20 p.m. Being the man that he is, he tends to be a little short on details about his day, particularly when he gets home and is exhausted from no nap. He prefers to have a snack and lounge somewhere in the house for a little while.

Some of what he is doing in school includes: making friends, learning to read, discovering how to function as part of a group - he has 21 kids in his class, and studying spanish. He likes his teacher and going outside is his favorite part of the day. And he's taking it all in stride really...not getting rattled by any of it.

Baby Girl started school this week and is enjoying her new independence. She has two of OBB's old teachers and really feels like a big girl this year. She has her own cubby, sits at a table with the other kids and next week will even start the carline, which, for the uninitiated, means she is let out of the car every morning by a teacher and walks to her classroom all by herself!
