A Maine Thanksgiving

We had a great time in Maine over Thanksgiving. We had a relatively painless trip up that took exactly 12 hours (5 a.m.-5 p.m.) and we spent our first full day at the Children's Museum in Dover, New Hampshire. This place was wonderful and kept the kids entertained for hours, which was great after having spent the entire day before in the car.

There were fun machines to play with that sent things flying through the air...

Of course, we had to get some coloring in for Baby Girl...

Then it was off to the kitchen to serve up something tasty...

Followed by the boys making their own machine...

And the Pattern Castle...which was such a cute idea - the kids loved putting the cling triangles on the window...

And then it was off to play in the expansive trains area...

And finally, spending some time in a Yellow Submarine...notice who is at the controls...let's just say she wasn't readily giving up that spot to ANYONE.

On Thanksgiving Day, the kids found lots of ways to entertain themselves in Nana's house while waiting for dinner...

Working on a puzzle...

Playing with antiques...

Playing the piano...

We had a wonderful family dinner and spent lots of time catching up and laughing. And we even headed out shopping at 10 p.m. that evening to join Midnight Madness at the mall!

It was a great trip and an easy ride home. Looking forward to going back next summer already!
