So what do you drive?

My husband is very sensitive about the fact that we do not drive a minivan. He calls our car a SUV crossover vehicle. It sits six people and I kind of think of it as a glorified station wagon...but whatever.

Today, while I was sitting at a traffic light, I came upon someone with what seems to be an equally great aversion to owning a "minivan". I pulled right up behind this woman sitting in a minivan with a license plate that simply said "NEVER". I thought that was pretty funny.

very funny! It's pretty sad when you've outgrown a minivan!

you are correct. you have a station wagon. Calling it by a different name does not change what it is.

Men ARE very sensitive about minivans for some reason. I know a guy here at work who was so distressed that his wife wanted a minivan that he offered her the latest volvo, bmw, mercedes, lexus mid-size SUVs all to no avail. They ended up with the minivan.

One of the benefits of having a large family is that you no longer fit in a minivan, so you don't have to worry about it. Of course, the larger optins of a full-sized van or a small bus are not much cooler.
