The Old Days...

Here's a picture of me I recently found on the internet that I hadn't seen in a long time.  It's from when I worked in the Senate and is the first picture of our Senate staff under Sen. Jim DeMint.  That was 8 years ago.  Seems like a different lifetime.  I've had two kids since then.  Sen. DeMint is now retired from Congress and everyone in this picture is working somewhere else or for someone else now.

But it certainly brings back memories of crazy long days in high heels, short hair and a time when the things that were most important are very different from what they are today.

Speaking of high heels, you'll notice that a couple of the ladies in the front row don't have shoes on.  The photographer asked all of us ladies to take our shoes off.  (Notice how I don't seem THAT tall?).   He promised our feet wouldn't show up in the picture.  Yet another example of the promises people in Washington make.
