God had been raining lots of little blessings down on me
recently. In just the past week, I’ve
had three people offer to bring us dinner, two people take care of the kids
while my mom is at doctor’s appointments (and two more offer), had several
doctor’s offices inexplicably find openings in their appointment books right
when I needed them and today, I even found money in my checkbook (over $200) due
to an error on my part.
I’m not the only one being blessed though. My mother’s blood work is getting better and
better with her infection numbers going down.
And then wait until you hear this story…
My mother has heard there is another woman at her nursing
facility with a very similar problem to hers.
This woman had a toe amputated and is also on a wound vac. For weeks, my mother has wanted to meet this
woman and talk to her about her experience but because of HIPPAA, the nurses
can’t tell her who the lady is or what room she’s in. Today
while we were at the Infectious Disease Doctor, just about to leave, this woman
gets rolled in with her foot bandaged up and a wound vac. Baby Girl immediately exclaims, “Look
Grandma! She has a hurt foot like you!”
And the lady says to my mother, “I think we both came here from the same
place”. I told my mother this HAD to be
the woman. They traded room numbers and
vowed to get together tonight back at the facility to share their stories.
Just too too much...overwhelming, in fact. All I can say is that if you trust God
completely, then expect amazing things because they will start happening and you
just sit back and smile to yourself, knowing that God is the source of all this
goodness.
