Last fall, I had silouettes of the kids made. Not a particularly fun process (convincing a 2 year old to sit still and look forward in your lap for 10 minutes is no picnic), but I love the results. Had copies made for the Grandmothers, and my WH got my copy professionally framed for me for Valentine's Day. This now hangs in my dining room and makes me smile whenever I pass by it.
And then there are the little boxes of Spring bursting forth on my front steps. My WH gave me these for my birthday because he knows how much I love having something pretty to walk by as I go in and out of the house. These have been sprouting over the past couple weeks and are beautiful now. And the aroma of the grape hyacinths is just intoxicating.
