Back from the Great White Beyond

It's been two weeks since I've posted and it hasn't been for lack of things to report.

We had the snowstorm of the decade two weeks ago with 8-11 inches of snow - an amount that crippled the city, closed school for three days and sent our family packing to a friend's house because we had no power (or water) for 2 1/2 days. The temperature inside our house dipped to 39 degrees. At least I didn't have to worry about the stuff in my freezer thawing. Here's a picture right before we abandoned the house for warmer shelter...

You'll notice the truck warming up in the picture below. Yes, we stuffed two car seats and two adults in the truck because none of the roads were plowed.

This was followed four days later by temperatures in the 80s which led OBB to call for a doggie picnic on the front lawn...check out the dog food bowls that OBB insisted be available for EDD.

And Baby Girl got her first tooth (and she's currently working on the second). Any finger placed too close to her mouth will automatically become her newest teething ring.

WOW! It sure did melt fast. I wish that would happen around here! OUr snow is melting finally....but it will be awhile before we spread a blanket on the lawn for a picnic.
